The Pic-Time alternative that runs the business, not just the gallery

Pic-Time makes gorgeous galleries and one of the best automated print stores in the industry. What it doesn’t do is sign your contracts, collect your deposits, or chase an unpaid balance — that’s still a separate CRM. Kepla is one system for the whole job, delivery included.

Pricing and features referenced on this page were checked in July 2026 against Pic-Time's public pricing page. Pic-Time is a trademark of its owner; Kepla is not affiliated with Pic-Time.

01 · WHY PHOTOGRAPHERS ARE LOOKING

Beautiful galleries, but the business side lives elsewhere

Pic-Time’s gallery plans run free to $42/month (billed annually), and its print store with automated sales campaigns is genuinely strong. But Pic-Time is a delivery-and-sales product, not a booking-and-billing one: there’s no contract e-signing, no deposit invoicing, no client pipeline. So photographers pair Pic-Time with HoneyBook or Dubsado — two subscriptions, two logins, and no shared memory between the gallery and the money.

Kepla closes that gap. Contracts, Stripe invoicing, deposits, and reminders live in the same place as your galleries — and because one system knows both, it can act: nudge the unsigned contract, chase the balance, and draft the rebooking email with last year’s photos attached.

Where Pic-Time is genuinely strong

Pic-Time’s print store is the best in the category — automated sale campaigns, gorgeous store themes, and reminder emails that reliably drive print revenue. The design polish on galleries is superb. If a large share of your income comes from selling prints and wall art, Pic-Time’s store is ahead of where Kepla starts. Kepla’s bet is that most working photographers earn on shoots and digital delivery — and lose money in the un-automated booking-and-billing layer Pic-Time doesn’t own.

03 · THE MATH

One platform instead of gallery + CRM

A common setup is Pic-Time Professional at $21/mo for galleries plus HoneyBook Essentials at $49/mo for the business side — about $840/year. Kepla’s founding plans cover both jobs at $19/mo (Solo) or $39/mo (Studio), locked: $228–$468/year — with AI follow-ups that actively recover revenue on top. Run your own plans through the stack cost calculator.

04 · SWITCHING

Your galleries come with you

Kepla’s migration hub imports galleries via Google Drive or bulk URL ingest — images are copied server-side into your new galleries, so switching doesn’t mean re-uploading years of client work. Moving your client and project records from HoneyBook or another CRM is part of the same hub. Founding members get white-glove migration help.

05 · COMMON QUESTIONS

FAQ

Is Kepla a good Pic-Time alternative?

If you want Pic-Time-style delivery plus the business side — contracts, invoicing, deposits, AI follow-ups — in one place, yes. If your revenue is primarily physical print sales through a mature store, Pic-Time’s store currently leads.

How much does Pic-Time cost in 2026?

Pic-Time gallery plans are free (reduced to 3 GB after 3 months), $7/mo Beginner, $21/mo Professional, and $42/mo Advanced, billed annually. It’s a gallery and print-store product, so most photographers add a separate CRM.

Does Pic-Time include contracts and invoicing?

No. Pic-Time focuses on galleries and print sales; contracts, deposits, and client invoicing require a separate CRM like HoneyBook or Dubsado.

Can I move my Pic-Time galleries to Kepla?

Yes — the migration hub imports galleries via Google Drive or bulk URL ingest, copying images server-side so nothing is re-uploaded by hand.

When can I use Kepla?

Kepla is in private beta — invites roll out weekly to the waitlist, and the first 200 photographers lock founding pricing for as long as they stay subscribed.
